I wish there had been more heart to heart talks between Emma and Regina because, ships or no ships aside, they were the only ones who connected with one another even from the very start and they parallel each other so much

Regina kinda scared me during that scene, I don't know why... It was great acting. Really great. And Emma looked uncomfortable and frustrated and I love it they're great actresses

This is one of the best scenes in the entire show, one of Lana's best-acted scenes.  It finally addresses the issue of Regina's past actions, at times the show seemed like all that had been forgotten, here we see her finally facing up to the terrible reality of her own past choices and actions.  Regina wasn't just a villainess.  She wasn't just bad, she was a mass murderess, a torturer, a poisoner, a child-killer, a tyrant, she murdered entire towns, slaughtered whole families.  Even once she's sorry afterward, that stuff doesn't go away.  It's _her_.  Plus, we see her admit that the nasty impulses are still there.  Unfortunately, atfter this AWESOME scene, we get the moronic 'jekyl serum' plot undercutting it... :grrr:

I love how Emma is still trying to comfort her and says things like “I believe in you“ even after everything Regina did to her and her family…I love how she gave her a chance and even started friendship with her to give her a happy ending. Without Emma she would be alone and lost tbh

This is one of the best scene in season5, I actually almost cry, Regina kind of scared me when she said her first impulse was to rip Hook throat out, her character was soo real! I was so proud of her when she said she didn't choose to do it...

OH FUCK I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING: *_REGINA IS THE MOTHERFUCKING DEMOGORGON!!!!_* In D&D/Forgotten Realms, the Demogorgon/Sibilant Beast is the two-headed demon lord who lives in the Abyss/Gaping Maw. It has two heads, both of which are constantly trying to destroy each other, much like Regina and the Evil Queen after Regina took the Hyde serum. (His two heads have individual personalities- Aameul, the left, and Hethradiah, the right). The thing is, they can’t, bc they’re a part of the same being. After the whole incident with Daniel, Regina’s state of mind was ripped in half- one feeling anger at Snow/Cora over the tragedy, and the other trying to reason that blaming Snow is wrong. Much like Aameul and Hethradiah, Regina and the Evil Queen can’t kill each other- if one dies, then the other dies. Then Regina has her whole epiphany about letting sleeping Demogorgons lie, and learning to love herself again- and we see this when Regina takes both their hearts, and infuses them with both of their energies. I love this show so fucking much❤️

Emma did not mean to sound patronizing or sound like she understood her when she did not. I think Emma was doing what she can to comfort when but she feels like she can’t say anything that will help her with the overbearing pain of her past crimes and even now wanting to commit evil even though she doesn’t want. It’s like Regina said, she could of forgiven Snow for telling her secret but chose to commit heinous crimes :(. She feels irredeemable but she’s not. she’s a good person but also someone with so much guilt
