When I got the Bilt they gave a 2% points on everything for the first 30 days as a sign up bonus. What a card, specially on Rent Day x2 points on the 3% dinning, 2% travel and 1% on everything (making it 6, 4 and 2)!!!

I definitely think part of the reason why this card is so good is that Brian Kelly (aka The Points Guy), was brought on as a adviser, and later investor in the card. Definitely able to use some of his connections and insights in to what makes a good card to make BILT as awesome as it is

I watched the short of this video yesterday. Yesterday, I applied. Yesterday, I was declined. Yesterday, I forgot I had a freeze on my credit report. Yesterday, I called and they told me that was the reason why I was not approved and I should lift the freeze and call them again. Yesterday I lifted the freeze and called them again and... Have used this card to pay rent over half year, it could help you issue the check to the landlord which is super convenient

I actually have the card. Paid my rent this month with it without any issues. But the best thing for me is the 1:1 transfer partners - which there are a lot of. You pay your entire year’s rent will accumulate into heft amount of points.
P.S. you can also pay your mortgage with it, not just rent. My SIL pays hers and it sure works.

This card being able to offer 1 point per dollar spent on rent WITHOUT the transaction fee that paying rent with a credit card usually has is pretty compelling. Even if you have say a Venture X that has 2X points as the lowest points tier. Having the BILT as a companion card could be worth considering just to use for rent because it offers other transfer partners the Venture X doesn't (particularly American Airlines, United Airlines, and World of Hyatt which the Venture X does not have). So pairing the BILT with another premium travel card could give you more travel options which could be easy to justify since the BILT has no annual fee. In theory you could gather points from rent on the BILT and use them for your hotel stay at Hyatt and then use the Venture X benefits for the flight and rental car or some other configuration depending on where you're flying and how you want to fly there. This might maybe be worth looking into some more and do the math to see if it works out because the obvious downside is the BILT points are their own ecosystem and can't be transferred over to your Chase/Amex/Capitol One/Whoever else ecosystem.

This card has recently popped back up on my radar as a card I should really consider in 2023. It's honestly super solid all around, obviously especially for rent. The fact that you have to put at least 5 purchases on it a billing cycle is slightly annoying if you want to make it a dedicated rent card, but it definitely isn't bad! Great work on this one John.

This does look like an amazing card and one I am very intrested in at the moment, but as I just got myself a new chase card last week I think I'll have to wait a bit before getting this one.

I would love for them to open this card up to mortgage payments, then I'd definitely get it.

I definitely want to add this card to my wallet, however, the only thing turning me off from getting this card is the fact that Wells Fargo is the partnering bank.
