I think the algorithm has changed. There are certain topics/channels that I enjoy watching occasionally but not enough that I want to subscribe to. 3+ years ago, all those channels and topics would be reintroduced to me on my feed every few weeks/months and I'd happily watch them. Nowadays, I notice that if I watch a new topic or channel, that instantly dominates my entire suggestions, but if I don't watch it for a couple days, it basically goes away forever

Good financial planner does not mean good business owner, so welcome to the new century of those financial advisors who don’t even know how to manage their finances.

Seeing Roman struggle despite pouring in 3, 000+ hours and still ending up $57K in the red is the ultimate wake-up call. It’s scary how financial pitfalls can creep up on you, whether it’s a failing business, lifestyle inflation, or an expensive degree that barely gets you ahead. It really makes me wonder, how do you even start making smarter financial decisions before you’re in too deep?

I absolutely love Romain. I’m hoping he succeeds from here. Wonderful to see him featured here on your channel, *Fiola!* I love your videos too.

I do feel bad but also… how would he not notice a $6, 000 deficit each month?

How can anyone trust him as a finance influencer when he was making such a glaring error and then acting surprised when his accountant told him the full amount!?

I am happy he’s getting some traction now and I hope he can turn it around!

$200K MBA for $200K job is not about knowledge, but reputation and network. It does work for some, but not for all. Even after graduating and finding a job, one must climb corporate ladder, jump to different company or find something else in order to remain relevant.

He has a channel of only 33K subs. Why in the world does he need a team and why would he be spending so much money when he can't possibly be making much.

I think ego may have played a part in it too. He equated himself to Caleb. They are not equals. Caleb is more entertaining and has a bigger audience. I think he should’ve stayed in his own lane and not compare himself to anyone. And obviously he should’nt have hired editors and stuff. Do everything himself

I work in finance and every penny counts, and some people don’t listen until they run the budget at the end of the year.

*I'm glad you made this video* it reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, $34k monthly and a good daughter full of love..

Graham he quite literally said the source of his panic attacks were from his boss calling him at 6am and he’s freaking out thinking he f*cked something up. If you’ve had a boss like this you know exactly what he’s talking about

Amazon isnt giving you a job when you write “learned stuff from YouTube” on your resume.

I’m an actor and many of my gigs do not have travel reimbursement, so I always find a friend to stay with (which is REALLY lucky that I know so many people from my pro-frisbee days) and I meal prep, pack food/snacks and 2gal jug of water, so I only have to buy gas while I’m on the road. So I totally get that frugal bootstrapping in the early days. Gotta do what works to get the experience and pay bills. ❤❤

While Romain may have been able to learn the skills for his MBA entirely online, it makes it very difficult to prove to an employer (especially one as big as Amazon) that you have those skills without a degree.

Who would take financial advice from this guy?? How hard is it to learn to edit? My 13 year old taught me in 15 minutes. Everyone knows you have to stay small when starting out!!

The problem is that everyone wants to directly make a business out of their YouTube channel. Just have fun and do what you like on YouTube with as less costs as needed. If you want to make a high end series just ask Netflix, or Amazon to publish it on their streaming service.

I also think it's personality I find myself coming back the same people just because I want to see how THEY cover a topic or what THEY are up too...

Wanted to add - I like Romain's personality, so I agree what Graham —on how Romain's way of just talking to the camera really works. I think Romain is looking for more, but at the core, being honest with yourself and your audience while staying consistent is what really makes a Social Media Creator continue to have an audience especially a core audience.

As someone who goes through expensive hobbies I'll be the first to say that you need to plan it out.

Don't be afraid to buy starter discount equipment that you will replace later with good stuff. Sometimes the hobby really takes root in you and other times not so much.

Although I will say this, if you are getting into anything that involves audio there is a huge second hand market of audio mixers out that can plug into a computer and are very affordable. Musicians do on the regular upgrade their equipment.
