Can we have a moment of silence for the people still trying to find this masterpiece. 🙏🙏

When my oldest child was a baby, I would put this song on for her to fall asleep. She's almost 18 now. Brings back so many memories.

Love this song. A strange feeling of nostalgia rises. Hard to explain.

Why do I feel so lonely when he doesn't stare at the camera???

What is amazing is that Satie did not want his music to be paid attention, it was written as background music. Supposedly he got infuriated by people paying close attention to it. I think he’s one of the most underrated composers. I love nothing more than putting on my best headphones and listening to every note and intonation. Vinheteiro, yours is my favourite, everything else seems poorly phrased, your subtlety is perfection. It makes me sad the Satie would be angry that I am paying such attention but happy that it exists.

"Gymnopédie No. 1" is probably one of my most favourite pieces of music ever.

Wikipedia: "Collectively, the Gymnopédies are regarded as an important precursor to modern ambient music." I like that.

This song reminds me of my piano teacher who we lost earlier this year. Her name was Moly Costello she was 88 and died of a brain tumour. She will forever be in my heart and all her pupils.🖤💙❤️

This is a work of pure genius. Satie did something completely different from his contemporaries. He was a true visionary, and his name deserves to be mentioned with composers like Beethoven, Debussy, Schoenberg, and Stravinsky.

This was written 130 years ago and sounds breathtaking now. Thank to Vinheteiro and Eric...

One of my two all time most favourite piano compositions. The other one is Clair de Lune.
