You can also detach silence in the edit>audio clip for windows pc. This can help break up tracks similar to truncating silence

What if you dont want the duration to change and you just want it to splice out all silence though? I make covers for fun and it will just mess up what i have if I do that

Would this work with audio tracks where there's no silence or minimal of 1 second gap. Say the tracks play in a loop but no silence or minimal of 1 sec gap, would audacity be able to split these into files etc. Without the user knowing where the silence or gaps are, Thanks
