A little about me:

My name is Minoo. I’m originally from Iran, and I live and work in the U.K.

I’m a qualified English teacher and teacher trainer, but that’s not what makes me good at my job.

I just love teaching! It makes me feel good when I can share something I’ve learned with others. That’s why I still love teaching English after 40 years of doing it!

English is such a vast and complicated language! My passion is to make it as easy as possible for others to learn. My students always praise my ‘clear explanations’ and 'structured method'.

I suppose I can explain things well because I’m not a native speaker. I’ve struggled with English pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary myself. I’ve had to work out the rules and learn the exceptions, and I just love sharing my own discoveries with others like me who are learning English as a foreign language.

Thank you so much, everyone, for all the ‘likes’ and your lovely and supportive comments! I'm so grateful for your support!

Before you start writing, improve your listening by watching YouTube clips on subjects that interest you, and finding someone to practise speaking with online, ideally a teacher who can give you feed-back on what you need to study and improve.

'Likewise' is used to reciprocate. It means 'same here', and avoids repeating the whole sentence again:
a) It is lovely to see you.
b) Likewise.

Many people think it is 'look forward to do', but it is 'look forward to doing', because 'to' here is not the infinitive, but the preposition for the expression 'look forward', and after a preposition you always need the gerund.

What you are describing has nothing to do with your language skills, which are clearly very good, but with your self-confidence. Public speaking is a challenge for most of us, and one thing that can help is using tools and techniques (such as breathing exercises or changing the tone of your internal dialogue) to calm your nerves and improve your self-confidence.

Used few phrases from your lessons yesterday on seminar. My husband said I'm starting sound like American woman)) As for me, last week was the first time when I answered the phone without fear what to say. It's big step for me, and I'm sure not only for me! Thank you for great lessons, just in one week I improved my speaking English to the level I couldn't improve in a year living in America.

The best exercise to improve your spelling is taking dictations from a recorded message and typing straight into your Word Processor that does an immediate spelling check for you.
