The @uci_mtbworldseries aka EWS is the pinnacle of Enduro racing on some of the toughest and gnarliest trails in the world, a series where the pro-MTBers battle against each other at some of mountain biking's most iconic locations. Pro Enduro racers are fast, very fast! But how do they compare to the average joe? To find out we pitted 2021 World Enduro Champion Jack Moir against amateur racer Tom Bower (Dirt Shed Show News anchor) and cameraman Louis Belton (you may remember Louis as our Downhill beginner)

"a bad day for an pro is better than a good day for an amateur"? Common Rich, lets put a positive spin on this, the amateur got to have fun on his bike longer than the pro and for us amateurs thats what matters :D

Love the concept of the video, but I think it was poorly executed. You have helmet cam footage from all of the riders, so don't show the pro blasting through a section, then cut to a slow mo of the beginner in a different section. If the amateur complains about a climb, show the pro doing the same climb. The few seconds of side by side footage was awesome. There should have been way more of that.

This felt like more of a cool recap edit of "Two Guys Give EWS a Try" rather than a comparison.

I‘d expected more time difference from the onboard footage. You can definitely understand why the pros are starting to run narrower handlebars watching Jack hammer through the trees.

You guys were not fooling around when you said you got a pro. Can we make it a series or a documentary where we see more footage? Rich makes it look easy and Jack makes it look even easier. It was great to see how hard it really is.

That is close to my estimates based on my local trails on which national enduro championship was held. An amateur (me) is about 50% slower than an EWS pro. Which was shocking because when you watch onboard the impression is that they go at least twice the speed. But the clock doesn't lie.

GMBN may I ask, when are the hardtail videos coming back? Also the sending sub 9kg cross-country hardtails down world cup downhill tracks.

Great to watch but cannot escape that these events use SO much plastic in mapping out the courses. As much as Shimano are sponsors, there must be a better way of not using single use plastic such as this.
