If I'm correct I think the reason you get sanity for befriending an unknown spider is because you unlock the cookie recipe, it's similar to how you get sanity for reading a blueprint

Wilson, the original King of Winter, should be able to do it too; if started with some beard growth.

Klaus casts a spell after two pounce attacks in the second phase. He does the pounce attack after a certain time (I don't know how long that is). If you're in melee range between the pounce attacks he goes for the swipes. So basically, it's always 2 pounces -> 1 cast but inbetween the pounces if you're too close he might do a swipe.

I used to use Klaus loot stash a lot to block the lunge attack, but then Wanda went and broke that. You could have placed your spider eggs to do the same thing.

i tried over 8 times as WX78 and it involves getting ear buns and a cave with enough materials, spider den, blue mooshrom forest and a bunny hutch to have a chance of surviving
even if you have the circuit as a very good upgrade
you cant get it early game
you must have luck and good timing to have a chance to get it
and any tents or sleeping bag will do wonders to get heat and heal

Wx-78 and his thermal circuit can negate winter’s coldness completely. Though it would be a pain to set up if your starting in winter

In all seriousness though, you could've used warming foods without letting fire warm you up by making a fire staff and shooting at trees from a distance so the warming radius would be negligible. Then you could've chopped the burned trees for charcoal and made yourself some better foods. As long as not warming up with fire was your main challenge, you could've definitely made crockpots.

But if it was a challenge to not use fire AT ALL, then you failed by using torches. Just saying. Either way, still a really cool video. I didn't think it was possible until I remembered the whole "Nest Tent" thing. Walter could also do this by just using his portable tent.

fun fact: there is a bug/unintentional future that allows 2 heated thermal stones to act as a nuclear reactor and heat each other and the player up to the point of over heating so you can basically ignore cold as any character can be cold prof like WX but you have to unload one every now and then to cool down

I always find that entering caves causes a temperature DECREASE, so its weird that its the other way around.
