Now we've seen their cars in action at the first F1 test, how to the big three teams we expect to see fighting at the front compare? Technical experts Giorgio Piola, Gary Anderson and Jake Boxall-Legge get together at Barcelona for a discussion about the different concepts each team has gone for, and who has made the biggest changes for 2019

I remember in the late 90's when Piola was working with Rai and he gave this very complex explanations about cars. I don't think most people got them, I only understood half of it, but he was one of the reasons why I started loving F1.

IIRC, Giorgio once told CNN that he draws highly detailed technical car parts *by hand.* Plus, they're all beautifully made, so Giorgio's technical insight should be second to none

Mercedes is sandbagging. They will most likely be where they want to be at the beginning of the season.
Ferrari is doing their best to get to a good start to finally get that title again.
Red Bull is adapting to Honda and doing their best to be at the front and if they can compete for the title it'll be impressive.

So the barge boards are pushing the air to the outside of the car, then what about the edge of the underfloor ? Does the air then suck under from the side ? Did he mean the side edge of the underfloor or leading edge ?
