Elon Musk's Crazy SpaceX Promise for 2025

This is What Elon's Musk's Promise to Make Happen Next Year.
But how realistic is it??

So here we have the mating of 2 Starships in Space. One impregnates the other with its fluids, or fuel. Enabling one Starship to travel to Mars, while the other returns safely to Earth.

But the Maths seems to not add up.

You see each Starship has 1200 tonnes of fuel capacity. But they are only able to bring 100 tonnes of payload into low Earth orbit. So to fully fuel a Starship in space, we would need to send 12 other Starships.
So why is SpaceX building this?

Well as some suspect, part of it is for the dream of space gas stations. But it's also because most rocket fuel is spent just leaving Earth's atmosphere. Once you are out, just a bit more fuel can cut a trip to Mars down from months, to weeks.

The fuel transfer is through the tanks, not through the transportable payload, so yes the math adds up and you are not an engineer.

That's awesome, it explains his timelines for getting to Mars.

space fuel station !!! that's the real way to go, resupplying the station continuously, saves a lot of time.

You said it yourself, "abit more can cut the trip to weeks" and it's 11 more fillings after the first....

.... And that is how rockets are born!

Even if it want able to fully fuel the rocket, most of the fuel is usually spent escaping the atmosphere, once in space there would be very little air resistance allowing for the rocket to coast almost perpetually since an object in motion tends to stay in motion. So rocket burns would only be needed to change trajectory or increase acceleration reducing the need for a super large amount of fuel.

Its hilarious, I recall Von Braun came to a similar conclusion regarding the moon missions.

You're Perhaps using the current stats.

The Next Starship he's building is 3X Powerful and about 2X the Size. With much better efficiency.
It's ELON if any person can do it its HIM !

So if they are refuelling the starship, that’s means that they want to go out of earth orbit like Moon, Mars or even further. And these missions are not everyday, so the speed doesn’t really matters. Also, the Starship is fully reusable which means it can launch, refuel the other ship, deorbit, land, refuel and launch again. That wouldn’t take that long ig, maybe 12h or 1 day. We don’t know yet.
