I have a question related to the use of to have in a question without to do. In that case am I really obliged to use "got" or can it be omitted sometimes ? I read somewhere that it is grammatically not wrong but sounds more formal and somewhat old-fashioned in modern English but I have some doubt...I need a confirmation. As a conclusion, can I say : "Have you any plans tonight ?" or should I always choose between " Do you have ..." or " Have you got .... "
