have | have got | got | gotta | English grammar

Hi Everyone!

In this lesson, we are going to look at some grammar which I think is pretty...special. Why is this grammar so special? Because there are 3 different ways to say the same thing. Yes, one of the forms is incorrect, but you WILL hear native English speakers using it.

Can you give me any examples using today's grammar in the comments below? What's something you HAVE TO do later?

2:49 A good reminder to use THE with the word "present" (in this case). The word Present can be a verb and a noun and has at least 3 different meanings.

I had always wondered about the use of those so confusing ways (for me) of saying the same thing: have/have got/got.
Even though I asked several people about that topic, I never got such a complete answer like the one you gifted us in your extraordinary video.
Now, thanks to your high level explanations on English grammar, I feel more confident because my English has gotten better.
Of course I will subscribe. Many thanks!! (In case you wonder, my native language is Spanish).

Until 10 minutes ago I used to get so confused every time I had to choose between "I've got/I got/I have" in a conversation. It made me frustrated to the point I caught myself trying to avoid using it at all.
Thank you so much for making this video! You're the teacher I wish I had when I first started to study English.
