🔥M2-2 Flamethrower Burning Down a House 😯 Living History Demo at the Battle of Aiken Event 2/24/24

The Battle of Aiken re-enactment stayed open late so the crowd could witness a living history display of a re-enactor setting ablaze a makeshift house with a WW2 era M2-2 Flamethrower. Remember kids, dont play with fire!

During the Pacific theatre in World War Two, the United States Marine Corps used certain tactics to clear out enemy bunkers. One of the weapons they used was the M2 Flamethrower. It had an effective range of 65-132 feet. It would further be used in other conflicts including Korea and Vietnam.

This demo was performed by the Parris Island Living History Detachment during the Battle of Aiken event on 2/24/2024.
