Looking back at the creation of the WTO's Dispute Settlement Understanding

The 30th anniversary of the GATT/WTO Legal Affairs Division in June 2012 provided an opportunity to look back at the objectives and ambitions of the Uruguay Round negotiators when they created the dispute settlement system.
