I have an update on this video. I recently did a Skype coaching with this woman. She actually DID get her ex back... for SEVERAL YEARS! (She did not tell me) Well, after she got him back she slowly went back to her old ways of lashing out and mistreating him. Unfortunately, she did not learn from the first breakup. After 5 months of NC I was feeling better and started making progress. Then, out of nowhere, a text from her. Never thought I would see that. I was suspicious the second I saw it. I opened the message and it was the most formal text I've got in my life about the jacket I've left at her place. Boy, it started to hurt again when I realised that after 5 months nothing changed in her heart and mind. Got teleported straight back to the night she left. Dated 4 girls since then - nothing helped. I'm still in massive pain.

Believe me, I know what I'm talking about, in some cultures, no matter how old you are, even if you're 100, there's no such a thing as "dating" or "living together" . You meet someone to get married. There's no negotiating or arguing with family, whoever does not belong to this culture has to accept it. Your partner will never stand up for himself, never stick up for you. Their family and traditions come first. It's either take it or leave it. Whoever says otherwise is an exception. I am a Western who has been living in the Middle East for a long time and have had relationships with men from this part of the world. No matter how nice, educated, enlightened, secular they are, they are not going against their family because of you.

I just got dumped from a 11 year relationship. Im currently still having a slight chance of hope. blocked my number and unadded on on socials, hasn't deleted any of our picture of us that she posted and im still tagged... so I think that gives me hope but it mostly confuses me, I haven't deleted any pictures or anything

If you dated an avoidant you have a zero percent chance of getting them back. 7 months and most days I’m feeling fine and better. But some evenings the painful moments of the breakup creep back into my head and I feel like I didn’t mean much to him since he’s never ever initiated any contact w me and I’m (still) blocked on everything. 😐

2 months of silence has turned me bitter, especially during holidays. I find myself saying bleeping bitch when I think of her. I was never mean or cruel so I never deserved this and the bitterness grows daily. I’ve had a hell of a time. Talked to my counselor yesterday and broke down. I beat myself up with how I mistreated my ex. On top of my tremendous guilt I also had a profound bond with her 4 year old. I’m an emotional wreck and can’t seem to get past this. It’s been 8 months since our breakup. I work at a prison and need to be in a good place emotionally and mentally but I’m on the brink of tears every minute. I don’t know what the hell to do anymore.

I dated a Korean girl and she said that meeting the parents is a really big deal since it indicates that you are serious enough to marry them. Ik in western culture it’s normal for us to introduce our bf/gf to our family. I did meet the mom and sister who gave me gifts and were really nice but I think when she told her dad about us he didn’t approve (since I’m not Korean I guess) leading to us breaking up. It is what it is tho

Craig me and my ex were together for a year and we broke up and he blocked me on social media right away. But I kept begging and bugging him then i stopped contact to see he blocked my number too. I feel like I really messed up and there is no hope for me.

It’s been over a year since the breakup and nearly a year of no contact (which she initiated). She has been happily dating her new guy for a year now. She plans to move to be with him in a few months, so I’m in the negative percentage range.
