Director: Zak Pinchin

Crushed like a bug
Under
The weight of listlessness

Maybe I could have
Learned how to fly
But my wings never sprouted

People just go on and on
In circles
In circles

I wake to the sound
Of the hum
Of the earth just spinning around and
There’s not much for me to do
But count the days and
Look at photos of you

People just go on and on
In circles
In circles

I was a fool to have thought that I was worth
More than just a short life
And a lifetime under dirt

Dare to dream
That’s what you told me
There’s more to life than just

Your reluctant love
And your begrudging touch.
You’ve set like the sun
Maybe that’s enough.

But, if we lay here
Maybe we could stay here
Maybe we could die here.
Wouldn’t that be fine, dear?

I wake to the sound
Of the hum
Of the earth just spinning around and
There’s not much for me to do
But count the days and
Look at photos of you

People just go on and on
In circles
In circles

I live my life inside of this cocoon
Just life a flower to afraid to bloom
I live my life inside of this cocoon
And I’ll die here

This is another one of those songs which you’ll listen to in a few years and you’ll know exactly who you were and the nostalgia will set in and take you back there.

Holy shit. I can't believe this record might just beat Architects at being the album of the year, especially considering Holding Absence's last one was also the best of the year. I can't stop being blown away by this band

I love how they used to upload songs in black and white format and now their videos are full colorized and looks like a freaking rainbow

My god what have I been missing? This band is breathtaking. Its like a breath of fresh air every time I find a new band that stuns me.

I heard this on octane driving into work at 4am. I started crying for no reason. Life gets hard but somehow this lifted my spirits. What an emotional masterpiece. Beautiful song. Thank you so much. ❤️

I play guitar, but vocalists like Lucas make me want to learn to sing.

It's been a long time since a band gave me this goosebumps..

I listened to it first on Spotify and fell in love with it already. Then I came here for the visuals which are mesmerizing. This is a very emotional song and Lucas does it justice with all the feels he's showing in this video. I sat here with my mouth open the whole time. Can't believe how good this song is.

I absolutely love the camera tricks here. Plus the almost-slow-mo vibe on the choruses verses the regular speed for verses. Absolutely wicked.

Currently one of my favorite songs. Playing it on repeat on Spotify. First heard of them because of Crooked Melody. Amazing song. Thank you.
