Показать описание
Jason Brooks returned to racing in 2024 after taking time off, and seemed to be right back on-point in the rounds he competed in. The 34 aboard his YZ450F, Brooks had impressive finishes at the first few rounds of NESC in the Spring Series:
Round 1 at Southwick, Brooks seemed to have the raw speed early on in the day, even leading some laps in Moto 1 before Justin Cokinos made his way around for the win. As the track got rougher in Moto 2 and a 16th place start, Jason worked his way up to 8th place to finish a respectable 5th overall in 450 Pro. 1-1 for 1st in 25+A; 2-8 for 5th in 450 Pro.
Jason would return for Round 3 at Central Cycle Club with some multiple battles between Joe Tait in each Pro moto. Making the pass early in Moto 1, Brooks would hold on to take the win. In Moto 2, Brooks held close to Josh Clark early on, but Jason would suffice to a 3rd place finish securing a hard-fought 2nd overall. 1-1 for 1st in 30+A; 1-3 for 2nd in 450 Pro.
Finally at Crow Hill for Round 4, Jason reigned supreme. Brooks would grab great starts early on, and would make the pass for the lead on lap 2 in both Pro motos; then dominated the day leading 16/18 laps. With a clean sweep, Brooks went 1-1 for 1st in 25+A; 1-1 for 1st in 450 Pro.
Over 12 motos, Jason raced a total of 93 laps and had a win percentage of 75%, while leading 65% of those laps! In the 450 Pro class: Brooks led a total of 31 out of 64 laps (48%) and had the fastest lap time 50% of those motos (3). In the 25+A and 30+A classes: Brooks did not lose a single moto, led every lap, and had the fastest lap of every moto in those classes as well!
