Sehr schöne Kollektion mit hochwertigen Interpreten, nur einer fällt aus dem Rahmen : David Garrett ! Ich verstehe garnicht was er hier zu suchen hat : Akustisch und visuell recht daneben . Wie kann man die Träumerei nur so verkitschen und so hypersentimental spielen und solch ein Arrangement anbieten ? Ich glaube wenn man Schumann gefragt hätte, ob er das so haben möchte ( musikalisch und visuell ), hätte er wohl geantwortet: So nicht !

Thank you DG for once again providing us with an impressive array of performances, outstanding artists playing the finest classical music. My favorite this year has been Seong-Jin Cho's HANDEL PROJECT, which I continue to play over and over again. Each time I am completely in awe of the artistry, the creativity, the scholarship, the sound, the contrasts...every aspect. Congratulations!

My two top equals are Cho and Liu. The items going straight from one to another like a continuous medley don't appeal to me, can't you at least leave 2 or 3 seconds in-between? And how come Lenny is included, was there a new album last year?😮

Yet another year of "The Race is On". Over the last 60 years the focus seems to have turned from the music itself to the performer subtly forcing the performer to focus on speed and dexterity rather than beautiful phrasing to prove his merit. Enough of perfect sterile empty notes!

Chacun interprète, divinement et avec tant de délicatesse avec des ornements délicieux ! « Les tendres plaintes » et « Les cyclopes » de Rameau.
