Anna Kendrick, Kathryn Gallagher and Autumn Best dish on their new Netflix movie "Woman of the Hour," based on the true story of a serial killer that went on a dating show in the '70s. Anna dishes on centering the film on the victim's perspective instead of the killer's, and Kathryn and Autumn open up about how they have dealt with the pressures of standing up for themselves as women on set.

Kendrick's directing changes the game. When
true crime focuses on the gory killing of victims,
while it's terrifying, it almost allows viewers to
disconnect, as it is so outrageous we can't
imagine ourselves in the position - likely a
subconscious safety net. Kendrick's talent shines
light on the universal experience of all women.
that split second when the energy shifts, when
alarm bells start screaming in our mind, primal
instinct of danger. The wrong word that gives a
man away, that certain glare where theirs eyes
change, the slight touch, the pace of a man
walking behind you. Our sensory systems a
flooded. Quickening breath, high alert, increase
pace, can I scream, can I run. Which will get me
Killed, slow and quiet or fast and loud. We have
all been there.

I honestly did not notice her hand in the movie. She gave a terrific performance playing a very lucky survivor. Good film!

Dang. Anna tering up when Autumn speak those amazing words shows how much love she's got inside her. I'm so glad that those past trauamas didn't steal that light. The world is such a better place because of it

You know, I heard a lot about Ann Kendrick. People saying how terrible she was but she's obviously not. She's a woman with a backbone who fights for herself and other women. The media is messed up. Thanks to Kelly for having her on the show so we can see more of what she's actually like!

"if it's that important to you guys, i'm not sure if i can make that movie" is such a professional way of saying "i am the director and i am that bitch so let's do it my way" 👏👏

And that's a whole comedian. Not a clown. So much wisdom.

so.. I don't know if I'm blind or not or what, but in the movie I never noticed autumn had a disability, I was just absolutely taken with the way her face was emoting... I noticed it now bc she pointed it out. more power to you girl, whoever doesn't cast you cause of your disability, is just an idiot

Woman who was nominated for a Tony at 12 years old can’t fathom how she has a platinum record… also absolutely watching this movie, been on my list.

Fun fact: That indie movie she was filming was called Drinking Buddies. Very underrated film!

Just watched the movie. The story alone is as captivating as it is gruesome and tense. Anna's acting was naturally excellent as was that of Daniel Zovatto, Autumn Best and Nicollette Robinson.

Must admit, I love the message in the cup song.
