The anchoring tip is legit. I've had a salt shaker, pepper shaker, chili pepper shaker, and a thin bottle of olive oil just kind of cluttering up my counter. I use the multiple times a day while cooking, so it never made sense to put them away. After watching this video I just put them on a small decorative plate and the counter instantly felt more organized and even a bit fancier.

After 42 years in the same house, we were able to update our kitchen. My most excitement was over my new bridge faucet. It was love at first sight. 💕 I still look at it, seeing it as a piece of artwork. Doesn't take much to get this old girl excited!

Nick, in one of your other videos you stressed the importance of closed storage. I have an area of the kitchen counter where I have my coffee makers, toaster etc. which is also the same general area where I stack mail, pens, notepads, packets of oatmeal, car keys, user manuals, etc etc. I took your advice and got a nice wicker basket with a lid. I dumped all the stray junk into that basket, and now I feel a whole lot less chaos when I go make coffee in the morning. I also used baskets like this is many other areas of the house. And my husband was so happy. 😂 Thank you for the tips.

I have the exposed side of kitchen cabinet hung with a collage frame of pictures of family cooking-- my mom stuffing a turkey, my husband making biscotti, my daughter helping me make cookies when she was 2
( she is now 33) and what a fun element-- personalizes the kitchen for sure and such a conversation piece!!

Nick! What a beautiful difference in my kitchen! Thank you! I replaced my old rusty faucet with a gorgeous, modern, sleek black faucet. I put in an ultra modern black ceiling fan. Black hardware on all the cabinets. On the open shelves I put on black matte pots. I painted the backsplash, window trim, toe kicks matte black. My kitchen is GORGEOUS. Thanks Nick! 😊
