North Korea regularly tells it's citizens how good they are as well.

Surely you’ve read the comments on NBN’s twitter posts 😂. Haven’t seen a single positive one yet and it’s great. Haha. Fantastic video once again Pat!

It’s talking about counting the highest speed available. If a person is on 25mbps they are not counting them as 25 but if they were on 100. All the new HFC customers number should be counted as 96mbps for example because they all achieve that.

Hey Pat is there anyway in your Tech opinion we can salvage the NBN and make it as good as it could be?

Great video again and I just can’t get my head around how bad the speeds are and how bad they can get.

My provider doesn't sell a plan based on what I can achieve. I either pay for a higher speed I can't get or I pay for a slower speed I don't want. So like most I am forced to compromise and that is exactly what our ranking should be based on, achievable speeds not fluff. Great work NBN. I was unaware you had your marketing team based in North Korea

the nbn disaster has had more delays than brexit. if you told me when plans were proposed i wouldnt have believed you it could possibly go this badly

Pat what nbn technology do you have? Are you happy with the speeds you get?

I read through the report when it released and thought it should be filed under "fiction" (and couldn't help reading it with a cockney accent like the ones heard spruiking at $2 shops). Anther caveat used is that Australia marches forward to completion and is rated using lab conditions best results whist the rest of the world stagnates (i.e. doesn't improve their tech or reach). Shit, they used theoretical maximums as a basis in at least one section of the report! This Alpha Beta belongs on shopping channels or morning TV programs and should be introduced with "in clinical trials..." or "8 out of 10....". It should not be used to tout how well NBN Co. is fulfilling the mantra of high speed Internet to everybody!

It isn't the speed that matters so much as the outages. Had eleven today from 9am to 4pm - each between 4 mins and an hour and a bit. It was windy so that's all we can hope for. On the positive side, the RU world cup was held in the evening when the wind had died down to cricfree worked well. Shame about the result but - you get that on the big jobs.

I'm with TPG on their slow arse plan which is something like 10 megabits and even that slows down some times

It should be called nbn again
Also, if you include home without internet, the results get worse than excluding them

Face unlock is not popular in a lot of region of the world, in screen finger print and edge to edge screen with no notch is the way to go. Under screen cameras is next tech that will sweep the notch up completely.

The NBN reminds of a mates motorbike, it seemed like a good buy at $10, didn't run yet but had potential, , he would buy a part for it, then another, then another, I helped him work on it once in a while until finally, one weekend and $500 dollars later, it was ready to kick over and ride, , , vroom, , , off he goes for 20 meters then the engine seizes up.
He pushes it back, drops it on its side and the petrol tank falls off, petrol spilling out on the dirt..
He had that look on his face the same one I get on my face when I hear about American Gamers internet speeds.

Suddenly he just drops his zippo on it, ,, burn baby burn.
Yep it was farkin funny, but this NBN isn't....
