Eventide : H9 Harmonizer Effects Processor

It would be somewhat of an understatement to say that the H9 was chock full of fun. Even without purchasing additional algorithms it offers more than most pedals in its price range. In fact, it offers so much I'm not even going to attempt to outline what it can do here; that's what their website is for. I will say, however, that the quality of the H9's sounds are pretty much second to none, thanks largely to the 40 odd years of premium digital sonic development at the Eventide HQ. This is a very serious and very capable stomp box.

I could only touch on the H9's features in a video like this so I've leaned towards the interaction of the H9 Control software and how it allows you to peer inside and control the H9 pedal. The pedal itself is ingeniously designed and marries an economic size with amazing functionality. I shall just have to expand on this video in future to show you some of the amazing sounds housed in this machine - I have no choice! (And it is VERY good fun).

Software : Pro Tools 10 LE, Waves CLA Guitars (slight comp over input track), Waves L3-16 Limiter (to keep levels in check at output), Apple Final Cut Pro X (video editing and Youtube compression).

I'm not hi tech. but i have one i just received and right out of the box the presets were great and i found myself diving right in. its as complicated as you wish to make it!

received mines yesterday, using it to get my drop Ab 7 string to A and standard for the rest of the strings.by far the cleanest pitch shifting i have tried, some latency on the palm muting djents but thats about it

yeah you're right, i'm trying to find a demo of the harmonizer but most demo on youtube only shows it features w/ ipad, delay, verbs, bla bla.. no harmonizer demo :(

Great quick demo as always Brett. But from this and other demos, I don't see how you can easily and quickly toggle through presets on stage without having an idevice or laptop ready. Thinking of removing all the modulation pedals off my board and replacing with this, the Strymon Möbius, or the Empress Nebulus.

Always enjoy your informative videos Brett. That opening music you played from 0:08 - 1:16 ( wash that original? ) or was it some David Gilmour / Pink Floyd piece of music ? ( really nice ). Eventide makes some amazing stuff. You have done a great job ( as always ) showing the power & versatility of this pedal. Eventide should really market this referencing the old H910 rack, maybe it would spark engineers/producers attentions, not just guitar players.
