I bought the Chinese Accuphase E-405 power amp and I can tell you first hand that having owned it for 7 months now, it sounds better in just about every way than my PS Audio. That's the God's honest truth. It doesn't run any hotter than any other class ab I've owned. I run it fully balanced into my Schiit Freya and they run my Jamo Concert 8's. I can't honestly think of a better sound. Well, I'm sure by spending $20K+ I could get there. But what I don't hurt my bank account. Or my marriage.

Replica watches from china in recent years are fantastic and only certain dealers can get them as long as you can get a moneyback guarentee and warrenty go for it, some higher end brands like Musical Fidelity use chinese components on their circut boards and people don't know the difference, get an electronic tech to open it up look at it, tell you if the components are junk or top shelf, you can't go wroung that way

You have to remember he reason these are cheap is because the factory and workers who build these are basically earning very little vs the real deal workers want big wages and factories cost colossal amounts so this is added to the costs. The gear is good you just got to remember why it's cheap.

Also the fact some of these brand names probably use the same Chinese factories anyway to build theirs.

OK I agree that this guy is just guessing. I have had three of these copies, Hood 1969, Levinson JC-3 (ML2) and the FM Acoustics Pre (Block transformer and the Smaller FM Acoustics Power anp. They have all been very good. The recent FM Acoustics gear is Fantastic. The Preamp replaced a Bryston BP25 and the FMA power amp replaces several highly regarded amps. The clone FMA equipment is, as I said, fantastic and great value. The case work is extremely good and the components seem excellent. There you go I have owned this gear. Also fast shipping to Australia.

I bought one few months ago, very soon to say something about durability . It sounds opened, transparent, detailed and balanced via Tannoys DMT 12, Kimber 8TC cables, Ralistic super tweeters cabled in and out with supra 4TC, Preamplifier a simple Douk audio 6J4 &P&P, Denon DA 500 DAC, SONY 338ES CD as transport, Denon 59L, Denon DL160, Kimber Silver Streak interconnects, Supra power cables.

What makes the real thing expensive is a brand that required years of advertising to build. Transistors, capacitors are not that expensive. It is like with Swiss watches. It does not take $10000 to build a Swiss watch and it is no more accurate than $5 knockoff of $20 plastic Casio Watch. But it still makes sense. Psychological effect that is invaluable in many situation.

I wouldn’t buy it. It seems too good to be true. They’re ripping off Accuphase and I bet that the quality is going to be bad. If I were to spend $900, I’d get a vintage Sansui, Luxman, or genuine Accuphase.

Lifetime depends on quality of the elcetrolytic capasitors inside it.(the blue can, s in this video is capasitors.they last a couple of years to 10 years.some good quality brands last maybe 15-20 years.

And the Accuphase preamp, no way the same volume attenuators
Accuphase knock off 70%, as good 30% better is Huge, save your monies !!

My power amplifier that drive my amt tweeters and planar mids in a active setup i the quietes amplifier i have tried.all brand name amps that i have used in this type off setup has a hiss that i can hear from my listening position.Build the end xp millenium.
