I used this to load all the GMRS frequencies into my BF-F8HP, they actually share a list you can just import right in the app to do this, complete with proper power levels for those channels. This is actually quite convenient for me because I have a Yaesu 400 hard mounted to the vehicle, but I'd like to be able to listen to GMRS folks nearby as well.

Randy, I'm a ham but not a sad ham. Your channel has made me much more interested in GMRS/FRS communications. I appreciate all the reviews of equipment. Keep doing what you do, it's a great channel.

Love my bluetooth programmer. I pulled the trigger last last year and got the 'older' one. It lived in my weekend backpack and the last time I tried to use it, it wouldn't turn on. Once charged, it wouldn't turn off. Amazon allowed for a return and sent me a new one in the 'newer' style :D

Didn't have a Ham or GMRS radio and had no interest in either until I stumbled upon one of your videos. I found your videos so entertaining and informative I decided give the hobby a try. Thx!

I'll definitely buy one if/when they update it to work with the kg-935g.

So I’m a week and 1 day into my new radio hobby. I got the GMRS ones as well as the HAM version last Saturday. It’s now Sunday a week later and my radios all have upgraded batteries, antennas, shoulder mics, pouches, and I just got the programmer. Now I have access to repeaters. A true game changer. I like to program local Police on both channels on one, local FD on another, the city next to me PD on another, and FD on my 4th radio. Then I sit and just watch the city work. I’ve heard so many crazy things from downed power lines to people macing the McDonalds employees. Also, it’s been over 100 outside lately, I work alone most of the time outside, and my phone kept overheating. So I gave my girlfriend one of my GMRS radios so she could check in on me and I could have help at the press of a button. Kinda extremely handy if you ask me.

If they would include the ability to omit the Bluetooth part and plug your existing programming cable into the phone via an OTG cable, this would be a great app.

There's a lot of cool stuff to learn about different radio and programming technology. Thanks for all the good videos: they really do help us newbies.

Great improvements with only a few slight warts. Now to narrow down the 4-5 watt radios without screens that have only Volume/Channel selectors with USB-C charging options - The perfect Camp Host radio that I can program to work on two channels: 1) My local GMRS Repeater 2) Local Simplex at the campground so the couple can do security and learning tasks without worrying about the world hearing them up in the canyon. -Davey

I’m so glad I got this miracle!! Thanks for the information on the additional ability to use the program on a web browser! I just got it and like you were reading my mind, you post useful information! Thanks Randy!

I see that there is also an option to locate local repeaters to program into your radio. I would assume that would be a good reason to allow location.
