Ya, during the chess generation right now, scholars mate isn't that good, it's just so easy to counter and it will just make your position worse.

I mean, he's not necessarily playing BAD moves, Bc4 wasn't necessarily bad, and all he did after was put his pawns in the center, it was trying to continue the attack afterwards and not realizing the bishop threatens the queen and checkmate that was bad.
