Here are the actual typed formulas for the third layer:

1. Making the cross: F R U R' U' F'
(Dot [in any orientation], then L shape [with tips pointing down and to the right], and then the [horizontal] line)

2. Aligning the cross: R U2 R' U' R U' R'
(One correct piece facing you and one facing away, then one incorrect facing you and one to the right)

3. Placing corners: L' U R U' L U R' U'
(Any orientation if all corners false. Otherwise, correct corner on bottom right)

4. Final Step: R U2 R' U' R U' R' L' U2 L U L' U L
(Keep false corners on bottom right and, if possible, top right)

Dude, I commented on this 9 years ago. This tutorial is how I learnt to solve a 3x3, and is what has sparked a 10 year hobby, and I am so thankful for it. I still use green as my first layer because of this video. This video was the catalyst for a hobby which I still enjoy 10 years later. Thank you for this.

Omg😂😂😂this tutorial was amazing. I struggled so hard over this less than a year ago(around December 2016, I'm writing this at the end of July 2017) and look at me now, I'm a sub 20 solver using advanced CFOP. All my passion of cubing started from when I watched this video and learnt how to solve the cube, and since then it's become an unhealthy addiction of mine and I can only hope to become sub-10( I will eventually)
Looking back at this way later, I find it hilarious that I found something so easy so difficult and I'm filled with a sense of nostalgia
