In this episode, we've got four incredible new submissions from viewers, all competing to see who can design the best PC fan with a focus on static pressure. Last time, the Noctua A12x25 set the bar with 2.4mm H2O, but today, one of these fans completely shatters that record with an impressive 125% more pressure!

This fan may look like a typical axial fan from the front, but when you see the back, it appears almost completely blocked off—so much so that you might think it wouldn't work at all. Yet, it’s a true powerhouse!

The Vortex 9 deserves a lot of credit for getting second place overall without extending outside the original fan dimensions. Designs that can be used as a drop-in replacement for a standard 120 mm fan should get their own category imo!

I really appreciate people that have the out the box thinking. using the fan frame itself as part of the design makes that fan a win in my book even before testing.

Fan showdown once a month is great, but you also do what works for you. When you're enjoying what you do, it makes your videos better.

Sure it wins in static pressure, but that's not what Noctua is maximizing. And from 8:43 we can clearly see that the Noctua fan is much, much quieter.

This video title is like saying a random dude wins in a race vs peak Usain Bolt because you didn't specify that the random dude was using a motor bike.

Its honestly pretty impressive how the Vortex 9 was able to hit those numbers while maintaining the profile of the fan. Its a long way off from the WFDU but remember that it had a whole separate housing assembly and orientation on the test bench. V9 is a big step forward in design for this season.
