Pink Martini performs a joyous cover of the Miriam Makeba classic "Pata Pata" live during their December 2017 performance residency at SFJAZZ. Featuring lead singer China Forbes, bandleader Thomas Lauderdale, a hot whistling solo by whistler/trombonist Antonis Andreou, and a guitar solo by Dan Faehnle. Pink Martini's studio recording of "Pata Pata" is their first song in the Xhosa language and was included on their 2016 album "Je dis oui!" The band invited fans from the audience to join them on stage for this joyous dance tune.
