As a Romanian, I am deeply impressed with how well Storm Large managed to capture the spirit of this song. Very few Romanian singers would ''dare'' to walk into the footsteps of Maria Tanase, considered a national treasure, as she was well known for her powerful way of expressing herself through songs.
