I remember when I was young kid in elementary school and I used to get bullied a lot. I never initiated fights but every once in a while I'd just end up in one because bullies insisted on fighting me. Every single time this happened my principal or other administrator would punish not just the bully but also me, even though they admittedly knew that I was the one getting bullied. They knew what was happening to me and that I was the victim but they had a "zero tolerance rule for fighting". This meant that I had to be punished along with the ones tormenting me. Now here I am in my forties and when I think back I realize that the grown ups who were supposed to know better and look out for me only made me feel as though I had no power to fight back. Trust me, that kind of stuff can stay with a kid for a long time.

Teacher calling their students "their kids" can backfire. Let me tell you what happened to me; I was checking out at the grocery store and the woman behind me said I think I have one of your kids. I sad NO WAY. Then reconsidered and ask if she was the hooker I did on the pool table at my buddies bachelor party 4 years ago. She said NO! I'm your daughters first grade teacher!

I wonder if the parents complained was about the school transitioning their child without notifying the parents. And the school retaliated for their bad behavior being exposed.

I think it shows that the school wants violence to happen and they don’t care who gets hurt or how.

Parents should not be kept in the dark to any aspect of child's school life. The parents are the ones legally responsible for the child's care, behavior, and wellbeing. With that responsibility comes the right to know what is happening to their child.

Schools and teachers seem to be acting as if they were parents because they think they know better than the actual parents, but they are not held responsible, the parents are.

it's only on 10 because 10 is vague to say the least! boohoo you lost your job because you tried to tell a parent how to parent. They're not your kids. This is a boundaries issue and she crossed the line!
