Huge Win But It's Not ALL Good News

A California State Senator has been forced to make major changes to one of the worst bills introduced this year. SB1253 which mandates FSC's or "Safety Certificates" has been amended to remove nearly all of its language, however not all. Some of the bill moves forward.

Like many of California's anti gun bills you can also ignore this as well. They are unconstitutional. High court ruling previously have already ruled you cannot require one to pay for ones constitutional right/s.

Actually, I don’t think anyone enforces the safety certificate. It’s predominantly required during a gun purchase at an FFL gun shop. If expired or don’t have, test ($35) is given on the spot. Done, good for another 5-years! 😃

My guess is that "New Comers" will be exempt and this will apply only to U.S. Citizens.
