I must say that I HAD to give this video a like! The way she explained this information was straight to the point, calm, and smooth! THIS is one of the many ways I can identify who has done personal development work or not. The other videos of the same/similar title, were of women who weren't as fluent and confident with their speech as much as Kelly here. IF I weren't a Personal Development Consultant (as I am now) and were looking for a Life Coach, I would consider Kelly here 1ST after viewing this video lol!

Thinking about a career in life coaching

As a counselor some of the information pertaining to the role and profession of counseling is incorrect. Counseling, much like coaching meets the client where they are at in that current moment. The process frequently looks at what is going on in the clients life at that moment and what they are wanting to address, frequently issues from their past may arise and are addressed to help provide growth for the client. It sounds like many of the practices that is utilized in coaching is also utilized with counseling, for example reiterating what the client has said, as well as giving the client the power of their own voice and decisions. Clinicians do not tell clients what to do, or what choices to make as each persons journey is different, whether thats impacted by upbringing, race, culture, religion age or abilities, allowing client autonomy. I have been considering a role in coaching and incorporating parts of my educational skillset. I find it unfortunate when I hear coaching advertisements that give incorrect information regarding counseling. I believe both fields have something positive to offer people.

For all the people who say she lost them at astrology: good, so you are not open to her intuitive way of working. Maybe you should consider boot camp instead of life coaching.

I would love to have a coach who is maybe more than just a strategist and pusher, but is also someone who can help you clear your blockages. If you're not advancing in life, obviously something is keeping you where you are. The ideas to merge different kinds of knowledge in an intuitive way is very appealing to me, so much so I would do it myself if I wasn't the one needing to be worked on. :> Btw, I actually know astrology, I have certificates of Vedic astrology. If this lady says she's a Virgo, there is more or less 85 % chance she is actually a sidereal Leo. And Leos have powerful Suns, which makes them good healers, since they are intuitively in touch with their divine nature and have a great vision od how things truly are.

I also love her green hair. Was I younger and had I a healthier scalp, I would sport green hair too.

AS a person with a degree in psychology, therapy, and counseling, I can say this woman has very little idea what we do. Actually what she stated about working together on the client's goals to come to a plan and help them carry it out is "textbook" of what each of those professions does. However, they also can help with emotional help with scientific research to back up the methods. Astrology is not one of those. I really w wanted to know what a Life Coach does... but this seems to go off into a WHOLE other thing.
