This is excellent. I used to drink alcohol every day and listen to Slipknot. This channel encouraged me to repent and I stopped drinking. My life is so different and so much better. I don't listen to that music anymore, it makes me feel dirty. Thanks for your channel. I am now one year sober.

Yes! I always tell people that the Bible explained that the enemy uses psychological warfare tactics on us to control the minds. They couldn’t identify it as psychological warfare tactics bc people wouldn’t have understood in that time, so it’s put it in a way that we can all understand; “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” & Many more.

“In the garden” is one of my favorite hymns. I love taking my dog out in the woods, early in the morning and praising the Lord Jesus Christ, praying, and just meditating on His goodness. He meets me there daily, and brings me such comfort, encouragement and desire to please Him, as we walk through the dewy grass, listening to the birds singing and watching as God’s creatures are all eagerly beginning their day. There’s a mama doe with a couple yearlings that come out a few mornings as I’m walking by singing. Almost like they’re coming to praise the Lord our God with me. Thank you, for your service and informing us as knowledge is power.

People who suffer from depression basically have their "depression song list". I started replacing one song at a time with a positive true God song until my "depression playlist" was completely deleted. Also suffering from deep depression, I would spend the minutes I had free of depression, doing something fun! I learned that I should have spent that time doing something constructive, like cleaning and something fun. Fun would feel good while it was happening, but it did Nothing when depression would return. However, if I cleaned something, when the depression returned I still had joy over something not a mess in my life!

I am The LORD's I Know (Whether I Live or Die). About three decades ago, I memorized this to sing and comfort myself with whenever my autistic son had a "meltdown". There was a particular way the psychologist had taught me to hold him in order to protect him, myself, and others while the meltdown worked itself out and he calmed down. And so we sat, me singing softly to myself to keep myself calm, while he gradually calmed to quiet tears.

Later, we learned to treat him with diet (gluten free) and chiropractic. All the meds disappeared, and so did the meltdowns. But, one particular Sunday, while we were visiting my parents in a far away state, they sang this hymn. It had been a very long time. My son tapped my arm, and I leaned over to hear him whisper in my ear with a smile on his face. "Mom, they're singing our song!" I never knew he had been listening through the turmoil! Now it truly is "our song", and that moment is now one of my most precious memories.

I once saw a WWII documentary in which participants in the war were interviewed and told their stories. I remember a former member of the HJ (German Youth League of that time) was telling his story and talking about how German society fell under the sway of totalitarianism. He was asked how such educated and civilized people could become so monstrous, and he said it was the music! He said at the rallies, people who normally would never behave a certain way would suddenly lose all their common sense and the music convinced them to fully give themselves to the leadership and the party. If I can ever find it again I will share.

Best Bible verse IMO to dwell on when fighting depression:
Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away!
Another potent help was thinking of everything I was thankful for like I could walk, I had a comfortable bed, I had food and drinks. May be very hard at first!

My favorite hymn is It is Well with My Soul. I have been through so many difficult things in the last two years, it helps ground me and bring me back to the right perspective. Even more considering the circumstances under which it v, 3was written. Holy, Holy, Holy, ...A Mighty Fortress...Praise to the Lord...Crown Him with Many Crowns are all on the top of the list. I have returned to my traditional worship music after leaving false teaching charismatic churches playing songs by Bethel, Elevation, Hillsong, etc.

I am a hard wired night owl. I recently went from being blessed with night or mid shifts to a day shift. Mornings are difficult for me. I find myself getting drowsy at work sometimes....especially since I am in a phase of working solo in training. I have been searching online for music to keep me alert. I search for peppy classical music. I'm not going to get caught up with singing along mentally out out loud. I haven't listened to secular music in years.

I really enjoy your content your ministry has really brought enlightenment in my life and as a music artist who sings Christian music really help me realize the importance of being mindful what I sing and write in my songs. My music is for youth and young adults who like contemporary Christian music with hip hop type sounds however I will be mindful that I don’t sound too much like secular music. Before I became a a Christian I use to listen to 2 pac, biggie smalls etc. I liked all kinds of music Rap, R&B, Hip Hop, Country music, Rock, Jazz However because of your ministry it has help me minister to family, friends, strangers about what’s going on in music and too many its mind blowing how music can effect a person. I realize to stay my line and keep doing what God has called me to do. Thank Jesus
