Great video! I just found your channel and I love it! I'm a retired 65-year-old-man who played a lot of basketball when I was in elementary school and through 10th grade. I didn't have a father or anyone who would teach me how to shoot. One thing on my bucket list is to learn to shoot better and perhaps get in shape and play some basketball. I have subscribed and I look forward to more great content! Thank you!

1.Nose over knees so that you use your hips to get the extra power
2. Thigh tap shoot
3. Slow thigh tap get it down and then shoot
4. Stretch

The stretch at the end is actually useful when it comes to jumping and injury prevention

Quite possibly thee most important hoopz video you've made to date. Phenomenal stuff! Loading the hips is a huge bbball body mechanic which is sadly forgotten by most skill trainers/ coaches from every corner of the earth. You nailed it here Coach!

Your technique of staying low and leaning my head forward before I take my jump shot had made my jump shot extremely quick and smooth thx so much. Your the man 🤠🔥🔥.

I was wondering why my three pointers are always better when I'm moving forward as oppose to standing still and shooting. It's cause I had the momentum that made my nose to be over my knees, but when still, I didn't have that. Great tip, I'm def gonna try all these. Thanks once again

Love the emphasis on the hips. A lot of players young think that jumping power is generated from their thighs and quads, and don’t even take hips into account. Major fast-twitch action and stabilization produced by the hips.

So I'm 22 and growing up playing pick up or with friends never felt confident in my jumper cause if it wasn't a swish it was hitting short, sometimes very short. But thanks to your vid I'm sure I'll be hitting more shots at the park! Thanks!

I wish i had a coach or YouTube growing up... I basically learned watching great shooters and trying to emulate their shot... I eventually got good enough where as a 14-15 yr old I got called Reggie Miller once...the advice I would give is focus on the way you hold the ball and trying to keep a fluid motion from start to finish... repetition is key... and once you establish good form, even if you stop playing for months and even years the muscle memory is still there and you never forget how to shoot.
