Fisker Ocean vs Nissan Ariya: An Apt Comparison…

Fisker continues its marketing blitz with a European reveal of the Ocean just a few days ago. Nissan revealed its Ariya in July 2020 but has been slow to bring the car to market. These two square up nicely against each other in the compact crossover EV segment. In this video, I’ll compare the exterior, interior, tech, performance, and pricing of these two EVs and show you how they stack up!

I like the wider stance on the Fisker Ocean.

Ocean every time.
What a beautiful car and with the Hollywood and California functions, plus the efforts to use recycled materials, I think it’s a winner.

These are the 2 I have put down reservation deposits upon, so thanks for comparing. One other big concern with the Ariya I have is dealer mark up. I've seen MSRP jump $10k on Kia EV6 now that they show up on inventory on the Kia site, and I've stopped looking at them because of it. Since Fisker has no dealership network, I'm suspecting they will have a destination charge, but will have a more difficult time justifying a jump in MSRP. Nissan is tied to dealership laws and could be marked up considerably for little added value (IMHO). Agree it would be useful for another comparison when more details are known. Thanks

Love your calm reviews. Very informative also.I have a deposit on an ocean but concerned about service looking forward .My ionic 5 awd coming in 2 weeks. If I love it i may just keep it but love the whole ocean style and sustainability

Thank you for creating this comparison video. I drive a 2014 Nissan Rogue SV AWD but will want to convert to an EV in next year or so. I'm definitiely leaning towards the Fisker Ocean Ultra because of the utlization of sustainable renewable resources for new vehicle. But I'm also concerned with the price mark up sort of what Tesla and other EV manufacturers will do due to material and supply shortages globally.

I love the subscription model on the Ocean, the fact that they use recycled materials, 340 range and the super mileage allowance at 30K a year. Ariya is nice looking, but I still prefer the Ocean.

I prefer Fisker Ocean Sport and the the price is affordable for me. Also with Ocean lease it's $379 a month with 30, 000 miles a yr. With other ev's they say starting price is this then you start added other stuff ontop of that at the end dam* price ends up higher. I like Fisker Ocean where they don't add the cost of which color you want same goes for the rims and the color of the inside of the car no extra cost.

Does the Fisker offer a black interior?

I've been to a ride and drive for the Ariya in comparison to the ID4 and Mach E which are is lower trim level competitors. The Aryia definitely handled a lot better, smoother a precisely. It also had a another 1 pedal mode where the E and ID would throw everyone around and make them car sick. Idk how well Fisker will handle and with no test drive available and my experience in driving new and old EVs I've enjoyed both the Aryias tech innovations and comforts and handling.

Doggy window and large panoramic sunroof are the big features that will make the Ocean a bigger seller
