ACE128 Absolute Encoder I2C Backpack for Arduino

Показать описание

The Bourns ACE-128 is mechanical gray code sensor proving 128 unique outputs in one rotation. Designed as a control knob, I have successfully used it in robot/animatronic applications, though service life is likely limited in that use.

The library handles the gray code interpretation and supports signed and unsigned outputs and setting logical zero.

Features include:

* compact size
* individually tested
* pre-addressed
* 0.1" and Grove headers supported
* room for locking header
* header can be mounted either side
* pads for I2C pullup resistors
* address changed by solder pads

Apologies for the high pitched whine on this video. My hearing is a bit damaged and I wasn't aware of it till I had my daughter review my site. It needs updated anyway.

To be very clear, can this Absolute Rotary Encoder spin endlessly in either the Clockwise or Counterclockwise directions?
In other words, is it multi-turn? *[update]:* I found the answer on your tindie page . . .
_This is an alternative to using a potentiometer and analog pin, allowing full-turn and multi-turn operation, and is not impacted by temperature variations._

Hey! I found this video very helpful. I'm actually trying to use this encoder in a school project. Would you be open to being contacted directly for questions?
