We Built an A-Frame Cabin: START to FINISH with timelapse

What a journey! We built this tiny A-frame cabin every other weekend over the course of six months and let me tell you... it seriously tested our patience but we pushed through and are so proud of the end result!

This tiny A-frame will be used as an airbnb and we'll be adding more videos of the deck/landscape/setup etc once we complete those projects so stay tuned!

As mentioned in the previous videos we are total amateurs. We have made our fair share of mistakes but they were great learning opportunities and we've come a long way.

Thank you for following along on this journey with us and don't hesitate to comment below if you have any questions.

The A frame is the most sleek, simple, yet sophisticated design in my opinion. Nicely done.

Молодцы, ребята...! Очень комфортабельный домик в лесном массиве получился👍))) В работе были задействованы все члены семьи и каждый внёс в этот проект частичку своей души... Очень понравилась ваша совместная работа👍!

Reminded me of the time when me and my dad built his house 1500 sq ft 3 bdrm A frame .We did every single thing from dirt work to finished even snowed on us lol 2, 1/2 years paycheck to paycheck hauled everything on the roof of our car best memories of my life .only mistake we couldn't fix was only doing it once, we should of kept building other houses stay strong and follow your dreams .👍🏘

I just got the idea, now I know how do mine, your guys did it really simple to understand, I saw a video where a guy made the bathroom separated of the A-cabin, between the A-cabin and bathroom he made a small wood floor with a couple chairs! Thanks for the video, its great!

4 minutes in and this is the smarter build I've seen; I could probably do it this way.

Great looking A frame cabin! I tried to use those clear panels on part of my shed but I had the same problem plus some leakage so I ended up replacing them with more metal roof panels instead. Live and learn.

To all the dorks complaining that people won’t stay here. I have a 14x14 tiny cabin in the woods with no running water or bathroom. Just an outhouse. And people love it. 5 Star rating on Airbnb. I have a hot tub and wifi set up that I believe likely tips the scales in my favor. But either way most people are looking for a little adventure. Quit being negative and try it sometime. Lol

Good little project. A small wood chipper will be handy to make trails mud and dirt free, chip all the small brush an thin the under growth will make the place a fairy tal setting. Neat idea for a build.

From personal experience. Insulating all the walls including the floor is very important during fall-winter seasons. It helps on holding the heat inside the cabin when using a buddy heater and saves on propane expense.

Great job, well done guys. If you do another one, use wooden pins or nails, not screws for the framing, outside the stresses and strains from the elements will require the frame to be a little flexible. Screws are great where there is no movement and will snap when put under tension, where as a pin or nail will bend, which also helps stop the timber from splitting. 8~)
