TOUR MY TINY A FRAME CABIN | BUILT IN ONLY 7 DAYS

Welcome to my Tiny A Frame Cabin near the Twin Cities of Minnesota! I built this little cabin and campsite within days of moving back to my home state with my wife from Los Angeles, California. It was created to be a getaway into nature while transitioning to our new life in the Midwest. The cabin is a variation of Derek Diedricksen's Transforming A-Frame Cabin, with the transforming wall being left out, and a solid wall with a wood stove being substituted in. This was my first build ever and a great confidence boost that's led to additional builds like the Travel Cabin. The structure and exterior of the cabin took only 7 days to build! I hope you enjoy the tour of our little slice of paradise.

When you're not experienced at building you get a much more pleasing effect and charm. Great job!

Ever since I was a little kid, I have loved getting into tiny spaces.I would sit in moving boxes for hours, with only the thickness of the cardboard separating me from the wind and rain, and be all cozy inside. They didnt last long obviously, but it was great.Later on me and my dad built a 4x8 ft wood clubhouse.Great memories, and your channel helps to bring them back.

You two are such a cute couple, and your A-frame is cute too. A perfect little place to get away to when the world starts crowding in. Nature is such a perfect medicine.

That is awesome! Girl in the Woods built the same cabin with the side wall that lets you and it is cool too! I sure wish I could do this but I’m a 63 year old widow and I don’t think this is in my scope of abilities. But you did an awesome job!

You describe everything like its so luxurious 😂 yet its so basic & simple, cozy & functional. It works! I have ALWAYS loved the woods as a kid. We used to walk the neighborhood woods all the time. Such positive memories, simple days I miss. Oh yeah, a swing is everything!! Someone with a big piece of land should build a bunch of these, spaced out of course & rent them like cabin air bnb's minus the food. Lol!

I love that you took to your dreams and got it done. So many quip about what they dream of doing, but never actually do anything. Paralyzed by fear, they don't try. There's a saying among quilters: "Finished is better than perfect!" Of course, with any build, safety and planning is paramount to a successful project. But after the safety & planning concerns are addressed, what matters most is that you make the build yours. It shouldn't matter so much about being perfect. What truly matters is that you try. One learns so much simply from trying. The reward is yours for having done so. Kudos to you both for building your gorgeous cabin life!

This is the second video of yours I have watched. The first one was of your super tiny cabin that you tow behind your vehicle. You are amazingly innovative and clever, but I just have to ask, is there a reason you make things so ultra tiny? I'm a small senior female, and I would definitely want to shower inside. I'm very much afraid I would need a refrigerator-freezer. Perhaps you could make a very small cabin that could incorporate those two things? I really like the A-frame. It keeps you from having to get leaves off of the roof.

hello from Eugene Oregon! love what you do .both videos are great! I lived in a converted bread truck in the '70s for 5 years, so i know what it's like living in small space.

Great video! It really brings back memories of my childhood (early 60's) my dad built me an A-Frame playhouse in our suburban back yard. It was the same dimensions as your cabin because Dad wanted to be able to use it as a storage shed when I outgrew wanting a playhouse. It had a dutch door in one end and a storm window in the other end. I LOVED it and it was the envy of every little girl in the neighborhood! You did a great job of utilizing the odd nooks and crannies.

I love the layout. It is almost like a gypsy wagon or a shepherd's wagon. Very efficient use of space.

This was so fun to watch! Every time you said what you would do over, I thought "and yet it works and is incredibly cool!" It's the fort / playhouse / secret cabin we all secretly wanted as kids, even if we lived in downtown Los Angeles. You even have the cool dog! Blessings upon you all. Thanks for sharing your totally-doable-by-real-people cabin!

Beautiful cabin and land. Over time you will forget all your, learning experiences in the cabin. I would not rip the sheeting down and redo it. We built a shed with a loft on some camping lots in eastern Kansas. It is bigger and on pier and beam foundation but 25 years later and it is still my happy place. Our children have great memories of the cabin. They are grown now. Land is a finite resource and wild land is shrinking at an alarming rate. In joy and be good stewards of your small property. Thank you for allowing us a look at what you have built.
