To be honest I was having this same issue. What I did to solve it was hold R3 down towards 6:00 o’clock direction. Doing this will still give you the hands up animation but will prevent your my player from auto jumping. You’re welcome in advance. ❤

There's a learning curve the defense this year you actively have to move the right stick according to where the defensive player standing this year

Hold the right stick down not up or to the side…. If you hold it down you wall up and don’t jump

You must have low interior. That’s how they balanced lower ratings this year. You’ll jump off of fakes a lot more if you only have a 60-70 interior compared to basically never doing it with 85-90.
