Guys!
There's more examples of Dad and Mom.
Dad: 父 (chichi) and for the father is お父さん (otōsan)

Mom: 母 (haha) and for the mother is お母さん (okāsan)

Family: 家族 (Kazoku)
Parents: 両親 (Ryōshin)

I think you should have emphasized that there is a difference between referring to your own family members as oppose someone else's family members.

I fear no man, but that thing ( Kanji ), it scares me. I am in the process of learning Japanese as an American English speaker, and I find Kanji difficult af. anyone got any good tools out there where it shows you how and which way, to write a Kanji? I got Hiragana and Katakana down alright, its just Kanji thats mind fucking me. especially since a single Kanji can mean MANY THINGS.

Also, when it comes to Kanji that mean many things, how do you know how to use it? Would it change the context of the sentence or whatever? Could you give some example sentences? Thanks. love the vids.

I never understood why onee-chan and onii-chan are the older siblings when the honorific chan is used for girls and small children.
