Daniel jones has never had a problem looking like a good QB.. he’s shown potential his whole career.. his problem is looking like a good QB consistently game after game finding ways to lead this team and win..

To be quite honest this is year 1 for DJ with an above average offensive line and a #1 receiver with great coaching. But year 3 under a great coaching system. 2022 was a Cinderella year because of coaching, which made DJ excel but without an offensive line or formidable receivers. So this is really year 1 for both Daboll and Jones together with actual weapons. And they’re off to a nice start. Football really doesn’t begin till week 5 since starters don’t usually play in the preseason. First 4 games are usually just to get your feet wet and break a sweat for the long season ahead. Go Giants, and I really think DJ and Daboll are going to crush the game together this year with the weapons they have.

The simplest way to evaluate DJ is to say, "He's the Giants quarterback, let's go win some games. "

If Jones can be serviceable and consistent I can see him doing well this season but I don’t think he’ll be our QB of the future.

Always like watching other content creators perspectives on the same film vids. We hit on a lot of the same key points! Great video bro!! 🔥

I have always saw the potential in him but it's unfortunate he doesn't see the potential in himself more consistently💯

That throw away on the bad snap impressed me big time.

I think this is the best of DJ against a great defense. The only way he goes to another level is with more players like Malik and Andre Thomas around him. Philly, Dallas, and 49ers have those players around QB.

I am a big DJ believer. I don't take one game back after all that time away. He has consistently played well with games on the line.
I'll say it again, after DJs rookie year Shumer should NOT have been fired BUT after they did fire him Judge interviewed Shula for the OC job and he should have kept him and ownership shouldn't have pushed garret on him.

Y'all can keep trying to keep making this dude like he's doing something good I have seen 5 years of bad quarterback play when he ran out play for a touchdown he was late on that pass again he has a bad habit of being late and don't not anticipate and see it development it has to be a ready wide open for him to throw it and a lot of times he gets sacked

I'm impressed by this analysis! Balanced, insightful, and specific. Having the benefit of seeing the Commanders/Bengals game last night, it's pretty clear that DJ is a serviceable placeholder sort of QB for us, but that is it.

We'll win some games for sure, given the better OLine play, Daboll calling solid games, having a capable WR group, and the defense steadily coming to form. But we're going to need a QB who WINS games for us versus not LOSING games.

DJ could not capitalize on a very bad Commanders defense last week, and he was embarrassed by a very good Vikings defense in Week 1. Washington has a rookie QB already making a few game-winning throws, and we will exist with him in the division for a decade or more.

If he can develop his deep ball again i think he’ll be good enough. Since his rookie year he hasn’t really thrown the deep ball much at all and that was one of his best traits.

Daniel Jones finally has all the assets that will make him his best self: a protective offensive line, a running back (was never a problem with Barkley, if not injured) that can keep the bars moving, and good weapons down the field (excellent with Nabers). The only issue is the play calling! However, Daboll took over that first half, needs better adjustments for the second half, but great game! My issue with DJ was the play calling previously (not under Daboll) sucked and the weapons were not playing at their best! If this is not DJ’s year, this will be his best season as long has we continue to run on all cylinders!

Daniel Jones will be the Comeback Player of the Year. Mark my words.

Daniel would like to see you hit on the deep ball and give us some consistent ball placement. Good Job avoiding the sack.

Maybe JD is calmer because he believes in the revamped o-line.
