I have a question - if every fashion house guards their own style and tries to be unique, how do we get that overlooking "trend" for fashion in general? Not in a funny way, I am really interested in mechanics of who and how decides on this.

I'd call the long coats "dusters" - maybe someone has already suggested that. I love this series - I look forward to it! So happy to see the "quiet luxury" trend with the muted tones and longer silhouettes.

I think 'duster' coat or jacket is what you had in mind for 'cache-poussiere' . Thanks for the video and I personally like the quiet luxury trend, not just because it's simplicity is appealing to me, but also because it seems a more sustainable look.

Quiet luxury? Rather functional good taste. Finally, at long last, fashion needed it for soo long. Since the 90s, if I recall. My favorite trend is 50s inspired. Splendid video, as always. Thank you, Justine. Congratulations for 1 mil subs! Maybe you do not recall, I told you this day will come. I am so glad for you! Have a golden autumn!

Once again, Justine, I’m blown away by your inclusiveness. All your selections are amazing, wearable but appropriate for all, plus size, petite, and those more mature! Love all the choices made.

It might have taken this channel a bit longer than others to reach the 1 million subscribers, but that's what happens to those who prefer quality over quantity. Justine, you always do a great job and people have only "started" to notice it! Also, you are building quite a reputation of reliable source and that's, I believe, the greatest accomplishment a content creator can achieve ❤

Congratulations on passing the million mile mark. Justine. As probably your oldest (86) subscriber it has been such a pleasure to watch you and your channel mature and become even more relevant as time goes by. You make it look easy but I know that there have been many challenges and you meet them with grace, intelligence. and a sense of humor.
I remember the New Look! Mine was a gray fine wool plaid and I wore starched crinoline under the skirt! My waist never looked so tiny. I love the quiet luxury trends.
I am still worrying about your new home. Please give us a status report. Thanks for the education and food for thought.

Finally some runway looks that can be worn by "real" people. I love the "cache-poussiere" (duster) look. Always have. The return of the clutch is also an interesting trend. And "quiet luxury" used to be simply called "quality." It was all about the cut, the fabric, the design, the craftsmanship. Something fast fashion cannot replicate. But the best news of all is your one million subscribers milestone. Congratulations and well-deserved.

I'm glad we will see more muted colors! I was getting so sick of all the neon stuff hanging in the stores for a looong time. I personally prefer timeless items rather than trendy so this works for me :)

50's, timeless and no logos - as a hourglass, or a kibbe romantic I'm very happy.

Congrads on the gold button!

I hope we'll see more of you soon.

It's really interesting how fashion trends respond to economic prosperity or decline. Even the haircut trends are going towards more functional and less maintenance looks. Your videos analysing runways are always so insightful, thank you! And congratulations on reaching 1M subscribers!

For me, a full-length heavy winter coat like most of the ones shown here is a greatcoat (that's the name and also how I feel about it). A full-length coat in a lighter material, like the cowboy coat, is a duster unless military-inspired (double-breasted, belted, epaulettes...) and then it's a trench coat. Apparently it's complicated, no wonder you couldn't find the term, lol. But they're all superb options! This season's runway was beautiful. Thanks for the analysis, Justine, and congrats on 1M!

I will always be fond of the ‘50’s silhouette. I think this era of fashion is very flattering on most women’s bodies, unlike many trends.

Quiet luxury is my pick, always. When creating a wardrobe nothing beats quality with comfort.

I really enjoyed this video. I feel the quiet luxury is perfect. Not so in your face, beautiful fabrics, exemplary design and craftsmanship. Pieces you can keep for a long time. Excellent 🎉❤

The first word that came to mind for “cache-poussière” was “duster.” The original dusters were full-length, light-colored canvas or linen coats worn by horsemen to protect their clothing from trail dust. These dusters were typically slit up the back to hip level for ease of wear on horseback. Dusters intended for riding may have features such as a buttonable rear slit and leg straps to hold the flaps in place. For better protection against rain, dusters were made from oilcloth and later from waxed cotton.
