Persona 5 Strikers Review - The Final Verdict

While it makes several missteps, then, Persona 5 Strikers is a decidedly great game, and a compelling addition to its series canon on its own merits. It is not only the best Persona spin off so far (though that isn’t a high bar to clear), it is also great enough to warrant people playing it for what it is, rather than just being fan service for people who liked the original game, like most other spin offs are.

It’s a remarkably good translation of Persona tropes into an all new format, and it presents some intriguing possibilities for what a future Persona game might offer. It feels like a full fledged, mainline sequel to Persona 5, which is what Atlus bills it as – it earns that moniker, unlike the previous spin offs. Even with its issues, Persona 5 Strikers is a great game, and an excellent continuation of the Phantom Thieves’ story. Hopefully this indicates a brighter future for the quality of Persona spin offs.

First got persona right before Christmas for free on PS5, beat it abojt two weeks ago. Simply put the game is fantastic and easily my favorite. I am so happy that I get to enjoy this spin off, if nothing else just to see the characters I loved for 40 more hours. Preordered the day I finished persona and I’m very excited to play come Thursday!!

This sounds like the best crossover game into the dynasty warriors genre just from how it sounds . I was iffy how this would work. But it looks great as always. I will buy it in time as rite now I haven't had a urge to buy anything when it comes out immediately. I'm still last gen slumming and I'm fine with that .great content as usual gaming bolt

I wasn’t expecting too much from this game but damn I’m having a lot of fun with it so far. Hearing the same music from the original game and it all having the same overall style is really cool. Doesn’t even feel like a Dynasty Warriors style of game.

So far my only grievance are bosses are a grindfuck of tedious proportions, I've only beaten the first Jail, so hopefully it opens up as you start to level up, just holy hell it gets to the point it's not even fun. Anyone I'm not playing as usually dies within half a health bar (nowhere near the supplies to keep them healthy), and SP is pretty instantly gone too; the last half of their health bar is cautiously BARELY chipping away with Joker, while using Pixie to keep health up for the duration. Just take SO long, even when they seemingly have no life left in the bar still need a dozen hits to drop them...then you get hit 2-3 times and have to start from the beginning. The rest of the fights are fun and frenetic, just the bosses do too much, and take too little, damage; doesn't feel balanced, at the beginning at least.
