Sea perch fishing 03/06/2023 | Winter fishing from the pier | Puget sound pier fishing in WA state

In the winter time at Washington state, when the water cools down. Striped perch is much easier to catch. You just need a light fishing pole, some market raw shrimp, and you are good to go. Some popular spots are: Golden park, Les Davis pier, Edmonds; Surf perch fishing is very popular in Washington state, but a lot of people don't know we can get those beautiful striped perch in Puget sound. Yes, in the winter, you can get striped perch and pile perch quite easy in a lot of piers around Puget sound.

I was using:
8lbs leader line (10lbs will work)
10lbs main line
1/2oz weight
Shrimp worked today

I will try next winter to catch them. I usually go to Lake Washington Blvd during the summer to catch yellow perch. Same set up but with a 5-6 ft light rod with 10-12 lb line. Thanks again 😊
