My friend sadly died of cancer at age 47 and is buried about 75 feet from Jerome Curly Howard.
I met Larry when I was 14.

this is as close as they got. Curly never did an out of character interview. Wouldn't it be a treasure if someone found something.

2021 and they're still here with us, making us laugh, part of us.
If they only knew...

I think Curly would have made a fine dramatic actor, especially as he got older. He had such incredible talent!!!

After Curly quit acting & he let his hair grow back, I couldn't believe how thick it still was! All three of the Howard brothers had very thick hair, throughout their lives! I saw Moe in person in 1963 & in his 60's, he still had a "mop"! R.I.P. Curly!

Only in Brooklyn will you find someone playing a "peeyanah."

I've been a fan of the Stooges my whole life. When I was a little boy watching them on Saturday mornings, if you'd told me Jerry, or Babe, the guy behind Curly, was actually a shy, introverted fellow who barely spoke off-camera, I never would have believed you, although if I'd seen this clip at the time it might have been a little easier to believe. And it's definitely to Jerry Howard's credit that he played his boisterous, outgoing, manic alter-ego Curly as well as he did.

I agree. Curly sounded just like Moe. Being brothers explained it.

He sounds like his brother Moe with his real voice.

I believe he briefly uses his normal voice in the short "Healthy, Wealthy and Dumb" in which Curly plays his own father.

Jerome Horowitz gave us probably the most appealing character ever in "Curly Howard".

Curly Howard had slipped up and spoke with his normal voice in this brief scene from one of The Three Stooges films. It sounds almost like a slightly softer type of Moe Howard's own voice. Every time Curly Howard was supposed to be a child in an adult's body.

curly's grandson was carrying on where curly left off before corvid-19 and he loves others passing on the good word

My favorite line from here...

Curly: "I think it's silly too, but, orders is orders."
