Is it just me or does this look like the freaking Maus tank?

They really pulled no punches with this one to make it look like a Mini Maus.

Looks like it's ready to go toe to toe with the likes of the CV90, since that looks like it's closest competitor.

"How many vehicles you want armed with a 120 mm gun?"

German Army: *Y E S*

Boxer is just an amazing vehicle with so many options u can pick, same as the Patria AMV. They and other countries can really strengthen their military with just the Boxer. U can even put a self propelled 150mm gun on the goddamn boxer!

The Boxer amazes me again and again .. It's just all in all such a smart concept of a platform ..

MiniMaus confirmed, yay. It will be interesting to see how things develop considering how modularized it seems to be. Also, first the Panther comes back, and now a Maus lookalike? I'm kinda excited to see what comes next.

What is unique about the Boxer is:
(1) it is a modern yet proven and reliable vehicle.
(2) in use with many armies and production going strong
(3) what sets it apart is the mission modules. Both variety and ease of change.

Other IFVs - e.g. the Lynx - are more capable and more expensive but also not yet established like the Boxer.

Not surprised on this one as many IFV manufacturers have been marketing this concept for years; BAE Systems with CV-90 with 105/120mm gun, Hanwha with their K21-105, FNSS and Otokar also has their own version of this but the only successful one so far is the GDELS who bagged a deal with the Philippine Army for their light tank project by offering their ASCOD 2 chassis with Israeli 105mm gun and subsystems.

as an ex-sergeant from the german army I can see the german armed forces adopt this IFV. The Boxer is a great platform and mixing tracked and wheeled boxers in a formation might help to be mobile in any terrain. Not to talk about how easy it should be to integrate the vehicle into supplylines and repair based on its similarity to the allready integrated Boxer. Lastly I have felt for a while that the german armed forces lacked a light tank which might be a role this variant could fill. All in all I feel this is a promising design for the german market.

As allways a great video, keep it up

Germany: "Poland, don't mind me parking a couple of thousand of these on our border? " 🤓

Poland: "yeah sure...." 😑

Tracked Boxer modules can the same (+others) as on the wheeled ones.
So it could be nice for heavy brigades in support variants.
German Puma IFV isn't really modular and it would be too expensive "to doctor" on it to make it to a mortar-gun carrier, howitzer, aa variant.
So Germans could have upgraded Leo2, Puma, tracked Boxer in heavy brigades.

The vehicle which is speak of in this video isn't an option for Germany or any other "greater" country.
For smaller countries it could be useful, like wheeled tanks or the KF41 with a lighter 120mm as MBTs are too expensive/logistical intensive.

This Boxer tank, the KF41 Lynx, the new Griffin tank, the Type 15 Chinese tank... There sure have been a lot of development and interest in lighter, more mobile and easier to deploy tanks. I guess these tanks working toe to toe with infantry and their heavier brothers and sisters may be the future of tank development. And I like them all lol.

So one Hull, with two mobility options and variable turret options. If it was decent in all regards and reliable, you could replace your whole fleet of medium size vehicles. --- Mechanics could be trained to service the whole fleet, both tracked and wheeled. Ideally, set it up as modularity as possible so that battlefield losses could be replaced quicker (swap damaged turrets, reconfigure a different version to a new role quickly)

the ATGM actually makes sense, if the Main Gun is not supposed to engage Heavy Armor.
+15 Main Gun Rounds are a little on the low Side, while its easy to stick Spike Missles on the Vehicle.
