RadRover 6 Plus Review

First ride on RadRover 6 Plus e-bike. This bike has an MSRP of $1999 but can be found discounted (typically $1599). Powered by a 750W rear hub motor with an easily removable 670Wh battery this Class 2 e-bike gives assist up to 20mph. There are (5) ride modes to vary the assist level from light assist to full power assist. The handle mounted display shows lots of information including speed and power assist level. I rode mostly in the maximum assist mode. There is also a throttle to apply assist so you don't have to pedal to keep moving. I could easily maintain 20 mph on level pavement with throttle only (no pedaling). RadPower claims up to 45 miles range depending on assist level and riding conditions. I did not check riding range on this ride. There are 7-gears available with the Shimano derailleur. The big 100mm wide tires provide good traction over a wide variety of surfaces and also give a little softer ride overall. The forks offer some bump absorption up front though offer little damping control. This bike comes with integrated lighting which works well and helps make the bike more visible on the road. The fenders do a great job keeps the rain and mud off the rider and bike and the optional rear rack is well built and strong.

I normally ride full suspension mid motor drive e-MTB's with 250W motors and motor assist only when pedaling. It was interesting to get a ride on a rear hub motor e-bike with a throttle. Moving along at 20mph on the level with throttle only was different! The RadPower 6 Plus offers a unique e-mobility experience at a reasonable price.

Do you still like the bike? Any issues. Thinking of getting one but skeptical of the range since battery isn't the biggest
