First Look at Rad Power Bikes' RadRover 6 Plus | E-Bike News

Electric Bike Report takes a first look at the all-new Rad Power Bikes RadRover 6 Plus, the flagship electric fat bike from the Seattle-based company.

The new RadRover gets a retooled motor, controller and battery; a new frame designed from the ground up; and a host of other new features including new cable routing, hydraulic brakes and new displays (two of them). It's the company's largest redesign of the Rover since its inception.

We don't have the bike yet for a full review, but we did spend some time talking with Rad to get an idea of what the new bike will ride like.

The motor in a Radrover5 is a 500watt driven to 750w

Rad Rover was the first electric bike I rode
Always been a fan but ...
Visually I have to say it’s a big fail, although the bike may in fact be better, I would nit go for it being there are some very good bikes in this class that just look much better.
The plus is a price increase for parts that I have had on other bikes I’ve owned for years
I’m not seeing the true benefit.

How important, or improved, is a torque sensor over the cadence system used by RadRover 6? This bike would be perfect for me if it had a torque sensor. Thanks

If you stripped this bike of all it's electric, would it be just a basic heavy department store bike? I mean honestly?

First Look, to me, means you have possession of the bike and are going to show it, visually, not through photo..
Also is it 25% stronger because they are now actually using the correct bafangs, (750-watt nominal) instead of the knockoffs that you were using ?, seriously, that's a real question.
I know this is a great company so please don't hate. These were just a couple of things I needed to know, that's all, but thank you for the video

You didn't point out the negatives of the new Radrover 6: Top speed 20 MPH, not 24 MPH, No attachment points on the down tube for water bottle. 🤨
