Does Christianity Still Make Sense? Years after Bobby Conway became a Christian, this question haunted him. Even though he was the pastor of a thriving church, it seemed as if his entire belief structure was dismantling. Bobby shares his story of coming to faith as a young adult, only to face unexpected intellectual doubts about the claims of Christianity. He talks about how he thought through issues like church hypocrisy, the moral failures of church leaders, and the increasing popularity of people claiming to be spiritual, but not affiliating with organized religion.

Nobody can bear close scrutiny forever. :-)

Since I started believing, I was pretty afraid to join any church because of this. I was surrounded by few ppl who helped me to understand the Word and helped me to study the Word. Thanks to my study of Rev. 2-3 I came to the conclusion that belonging to a ministry is also important. Found myself a small community that felt so good and homecoming, thanking Jezus for his guidance 🙏

They call into question the legitimacy of the Holy Spirit as its transformative nature appears more absent than it should.

2 Peter 2:1-3
Holy Bible - KJV
2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

All organizations have scandals. Some you will hear of and some well covered up

Matthew 13:33: "Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened." Jesus and other verses prophesied not only sin but also false teachings in the church. If we Christians did not sin, the Scripture would be wrong and we ourselves would be perfect and would not need a Savior or forgiveness. But of course every scandal is a disgrace.

Well, scandals are bad.

But it's more the fact that Christianity is kind of behind the rest of the world when it comes to science and morality, for example.

Surely, a religion that has the Truth would be in the front, not straggling behind.

Some pastor or priest (etc) did something we really don't like, therefore Jesus didn't rise from the dead. Nope, never made sense to me. 😂 Bad logic.
