The club are up to they're neck in abuse claims, have we all forgotten that?!! To think the board are penny pinching etc is just idiotic. Have said for years we need Desmond and Liewell and most of the their placemen on the board out.Liewell only in place to keep the share price high for Desmond and big bonuses for the rest of them, Desmond who has absolutely no interest in Celtic being competitive in Europe he stated that after Seville. Why then should we buy £200 Champion's League packages if that is the only ambition they have.

Maybe unpopular opinion but the lack of parity in the league is a factor, as well. A mid-table EPL or Bundesliga or even Eredivisie side has a decent shot at European competition only if they beat out the other mid table clubs. That creates competition.

We just need to beat Rangers every year, so the board has no incentive to improve the squad beyond anything more than “Just a little better than Rangers.”

Obviously not defending the board but rather trying to explain their thought process.
